More than 80 Years of
Soldering Competence and Excellence Since the invention of
the first electrically operated soldering iron by ERSA founder Ernst
Sachs in 1921, we have dedicated ourselves to constantly developing and
perfecting soldering techniques with enthusiasm and innovative power. Guided
by the pioneering spirit of the foundation years and motivated by close and
sound relationships with all renowned electronic-processing companies, ERSA
has now become synonymous for soldering. Looking back on more than 80 years
of soldering experience ERSA has established itself on an international
level as the competent source of knowledge offering the most comprehensive
range of products in this field. For each application in the PCB processing
context, ERSA offers matching solutions and overall concepts. |

When one uses normal soldering
tools, a very big amount of energy is consumed, and from that only a small
portion goes to the solving itself. The biggest amount of energy goes to the
surrounding air which causes bad economy. Weller has developed a
solving system where most of the energy is used during the solving operation.
One solving iron gives a more rational product than a couple of them. For
example, 50 watts temperature controlled Weller solving iron
compensates a 100 watts uncontrolled solving iron. Heat sensitive components
are protected against damages through effective temperature control. The
solving irons are supplied with a highly flexible silicon rubber for high
temperatures. Temperature control increases the length of life on heating
elements and solving tips and decreases the risk of cold solving. One
immediate result of this is lower production and service costs and a high
level of quality in the solving process. |
